Music Album Cover Design + Animation
ART 2900: Graphic Illustration & Concept Art
In this project, students designed an album cover for a real or fictional musical artist, integrating illustration, typography, and motion-based design. Students explored how visual identity, tone, and narrative can be communicated through cover art and short animated loops for digital platforms. Emphasis was placed on concept development, typographic pairing, and visual rhythm, encouraging students to translate sound and mood into cohesive visual systems across static and animated formats.

3D Character Sculpture
ART 2900: Graphic Illustration & Concept Art
This project introduced students to three-dimensional storytelling through sculptural character development. Students translated illustrated concepts into physical form, focusing on proportion, gesture, material choice, and narrative presence. Emphasis was placed on understanding how form, texture, and scale contribute to character identity and emotional expression. The project encouraged students to think spatially and consider how illustrative ideas can extend beyond the page into tactile, dimensional experiences.

Character Design as Visual Identity
ART 2900: Graphic Illustration & Concept Art
This project invited students to design a character or mascot representing their selected school within the College of Fine Arts—including Music, Dance, Theatre, Art & Design, and Film. Through sketching, visual research, and character development, students translated disciplinary identity into expressive forms. Final outcomes included wearable merchandise prototypes produced through screen printing, digital printing, and hand-painted fabric techniques.
