Bio
Sogol Khorram is an Iranian illustrator, designer, and educator based in the United States. Her work explores identity, self-discovery, and the inner world through a visual language that is both whimsical and introspective. Working across digital and traditional media, she draws from emotion, intuition, and personal experience to create visual narratives that invite curiosity and reflection. Rather than offering definitive answers, her work embraces ambiguity and creates space for viewers to form their own interpretations and emotional connections.
Her creative practice is rooted in an ongoing process of personal and artistic exploration, informed by her interest in psychology, self-reflection, and the subconscious. She approaches art-making as a way of observing and understanding thoughts, emotions, and inner experiences, allowing intuition and discovery to become part of the process. For her, the act of making holds as much meaning as the finished work.
Teaching is an integral part of Sogol’s creative practice. She sees the classroom as a collaborative environment where learning moves in both directions and students are encouraged to experiment, question, and develop confidence in their own creative voices. Inspired by the mentors who shaped her own development as an artist and designer, she is committed to supporting emerging creatives as they explore their identities, develop independence, and discover new possibilities across illustration, design, and fine art.
